Being an Ethical Live Cam Model

I strive for the best in all I do, including cam modeling.  This means being an ethical live cam model.  In cam modeling, ethics include:

1. Be honest about what we do and don't do in private shows.  Though many cam models are honest in this sense, some may wonder if they can increase their business just by saying they'll do something and then once the customer is in private, don't do it or try to redirect them.  If the customer demands something we didn't say we'll do ahead of time, that's understandable to not do it or try to redirct them.  However, saying we'll do something we won't is detrimental to our success, as well as to paying customers and other cam models. As experienced cam models know, it's important to build up a repeat clientele, which won't happen by scamming customers.  Furthermore, customers can leave reviews, and negative reviews or saying that a model is dishonest or deceptive won't help their business. Such experiences can also cause customers to be hesitant to buy a cam show again with any model, adversely affecting all of our business including models who conduct themselves ethically.

2. Post accurate photos.  Many sites have public chat where customers can come into our chatrooms and see us before tipping or getting private shows.  If we're on a site without public chat where customers must pay for a private show before they get live video, posting accurate and updated photos in our profiles is essential.  If customers pay for a private show and notice we don't look like our photos when we send them live video, they'll likely feel deceived and not stay long, so we won't make much for it plus they can leave a negative review.  Some sites just allow customers to leave a star rating up to 5 stars, and some allow them to write comments in addition to that.  If they do, this can not only deter other paid viewers, but also be very embarrassing to the model.

Even if we're on sites where customers can view live video before getting private shows, it's still a good idea to post accurate and updated photos.  Continually updating photos can keep customers coming back to our page.  Also, this way we can attact customers interested in us who are more likely to tip and get private shows instead of just leaving when they notice we don't look like our pictures.

3. Follow through on what we say we'll do.  This is like the first one, but extends beyond just private shows.  For example, if we tell a customer we'll send them a custom video within an hour, make sure we can realistically do this.  Basically, set realisitc time frames.  Also, some sites allow fan clubs where models can post extra photos, videos, etc. customers who pay to subscribe to the fan club can access.  Be honest about what we post in there and again, set realistic time frames.  For example, if I cannot realistically post 100 new videos a week, I'm not going to advertise that I will.  Memberships often expire after 1 to 3 months and honesty about what they get is important if we want customers to renew and enjoy our fan club for as long as they're members.

4.  Be kind to our fellow cam models. Avoid spamming their chatrooms or social media pages to promote ourselves.  This could also get you banned from the site.  Avoid trash talking other cam models in our chatrooms or on social media.

5.  Create an accurate and honest tip menu if we're on a site that allows these and we chose to create them.

In sum, if we want to be successful as cam models, being ethical is essential.  Please share suggestions for what to add.
